Marilyn Meberg

Marilyn Meberg At first glance, you might think Marilyn was a serious, wise, well-educated counselor. (And you'd be right!) But she's also prone to break into giggles at the slightest provocation and tell stories you'll still be laughing over years from now. With the weight of not one, but two Masters' degrees (in English and psychology) behind her, Marilyn tackles life's most difficult subjects with aplomb. Her biblically based brand of common sense and good humor is cherished by audiences across the continent. Marilyn claims California as home but has been on what she calls an "extended visit" to Texas since 2005.

So here's the backstory on this slightly wacky woman: As a freshman student at Seattle Pacific University, Marilyn met Ken Meberg. She fell in love; he too was wacky. Five days after graduating with a degree in English, she married that wonderful man and they moved to Orange County, California.

They now have two grown children: Jeff and his wife Carla who live in San Clemente, California and Beth and her husband Dave who live in Marion, Ohio. Jeff and Carla have dogs and cats; Beth and Dave have two boys. Marilyn refers to them all as grandchildren; some furry, some not.

One of Marilyn's most painful losses has been the death of Ken who died of pancreatic cancer twenty-two years ago. Dr. Meberg was kind, brilliant and fun; a great dad and husband. She believes these kinds of losses change us but need not destroy us. Though life is not the same as it was before Ken's death, Marilyn believes God's plan is to redeem all of our circumstances and to provide new strength and purpose in it all.

Speaking to audiences around the country for over 30 years, Marilyn spent 17 years as a core speaker at the Women of Faith conferences and was one of the original four speakers when the organization began in 1996. Drawing from her background in psychology, Marilyn enjoys helping audiences understand themselves better, understand God better and gain a life-changing understanding of how He created us for a relationship with Him that is rooted in love and grace.

Bruce Carroll

Bruce Carroll Almost three decades ago, an unknown San Antonio boy in blue jeans named Bruce Carroll left on a journey that helped define what it meant to be a Christian singer/songwriter. Since then, Bruce has recorded nine best-selling solo projects, sold more than two million albums, won two Grammy Awards, seven Dove Awards, and enjoyed 11 No. 1 songs. Bruce's unique ability to tell a story through a simple song helped make songs like "Sometimes Miracles Hide," "Above and Beyond," "Who Will Be Jesus" and "The Great Exchange" touch hearts and change the lives of millions all over the world.

Today, Bruce continues to set trends and change lives in ways that only God could inspire. As the Director of Arts and Worship at Hope Church in Memphis, Tennessee, Bruce leads a 10-member band and 6,000+ people a week into worship. And if that weren't enough to keep him busy, Bruce finds the time to cast the vision for The Grove, one of the most innovative music labels in the world, on which he is the flagship artist. Across the hall from his label's offices is a state-of-the-art recording studio that is more advanced than most you'd find on Music Row. When he's not leading worship, you can usually find him in the studio noodling on a new song idea or mentoring the next young artist with a guitar, a dream, and a heart for Jesus.

Just as he did back in his blue jeans and acoustic guitar days, Bruce Carroll continues to find new and innovative ways to use music to reach the un-churched for Christ.
